DPS: 14 individuals arrested in week of March 10 to 16

FROM March 10 to 16, 2024, the Department of Public Safety responded to 95 criminal and 30 traffic-related incidents.

According to the police blotter provided by DPS on Monday, of the 125 incidents, 76 were 911 service calls to the police. 

During the same period, 14 individuals were arrested, DPS added.

Pollice responded to three assault incidents; eight assault & battery incidents; one assault with a dangerous weapon incident; three nuisance incidents; nine domestic violence incidents; 45 disturbing the peace incidents; two criminal trespass incidents; two child abuse/neglect incidents; two illegal possession incidents; four burglary incidents; 15 theft incidents; and one sexual assault incident.

As for traffic incidents, DPS said it responded to seven auto ran off roadway incidents; seven auto parked vehicle incident; three auto hit and run incidents; three driving under the influence incidents; eight auto fixed object incidents; and two vehicle theft incidents.

The department’s public information officer, Police Sgt. Fred Sato, said, “The stats provided are just calls made to our 911 dispatchers and responses from our officers. All active criminal complaints are taken, then forwarded to our Criminal Investigation Bureau. All traffic-related incidents, including fatality reported crashes, are forwarded to our Highway Patrol Investigation units.”
