(DPS) — In response to online threats against Francisco M. Sablan Middle School on Sept. 11, 2023, the Department of Public Safety has been conducting an investigation in coordination with federal partners and the Public School System.
DPS has also implemented security measures for FMSMS. Police presence on campus aims to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors.
DPS will screen all students and vehicles at entrances, and conduct frequent patrols and random K-9 inspections.
“Our Criminal Investigations Bureau and federal partners will continue investigating this threat. We ask our community to follow these new security measures at FMSMS to ensure a safe learning environment. We take this matter seriously so our students remain safe and focused on learning,” DPS Commissioner Clement Bermudes said.
