Cruz said Chong assaulted him during work hours at DPW premises when the victim refused to pay a $100 bet.
Cruz told Variety last week that his complaint against Chong was not filed by DPS and that the administration of DPW “was not doing anything with the case.”
“That is a false statement and it is a lie,” David said.
The incident reports and other records about the incident are available, and the case is currently under investigation, he added.
Cruz said he does not believe that DPW and DPS are doing something.
“Everything is politically motivated,” he said.
He added that DPW, which claimed that it was conducting an internal investigation, is only pretending to act now because he already talked to this newspaper.
