Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman also approved Mendiola’s sister, Florine Hofschneider, former Tinian high school principal, as another third party custodian.
Wiseman at the same time modified the defendant’s $15,000 cash bail to property bond.
He ordered Rufino Mendiola to stay away from his victims.
The 54-year-old Rufino Mendiola was arrested on the charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and misuse of government vehicle.
Rufino assaulted his daughter who confronted him for sexually harassing her female friend, the prosecution said.
