
(DPS) — On Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at 2:51 p.m., a vehicle crash was reported on Flame Tree Road in Dandan, by the intersection of Tun Kiyoshi Kileleman Road and Tun Herman Pan Road.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a black Toyota Hilux pickup truck was traveling north when it collided with a dump truck traveling in the opposite direction. Both vehicles sustained major damage from impact.
The 48-year-old male operator of the black Toyota pickup truck was extracted by DFEMS rescue personnel and transported to the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, where he was treated for injuries sustained from the crash. He is currently being monitored for internal bleeding and is in stable condition. The operator of the dump truck was not injured.
Highway Patrol officers concluded that the operator of the black Toyota pickup truck was at fault for the crash. The operator is also suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
