THE Attorney General’s Office yesterday filed charges against two men who were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly cultivating marijuana in Marpi.
Daniel Aldan Castro, 21, and Joash Joe Rafael, 19, were each charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, trafficking of a controlled substance, illegal possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy.
The defendants were summoned to appear and answer the charges in Superior Court on June 3.
According to AGO, from March to May 15, 2002, Castro and Rafael “did knowingly or intentionally manufacture, cause to cultivate, or cause to grow, a controlled substance, to wit: marijuana.”
The defendants, AGO said, “did knowingly or intentionally deliver or possess with intent to deliver or dispense a controlled substance (marijuana).”
