DUI/sobriety checkpoints

(1) Friday, Aug. 26, 9:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. – Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Gualo Rai, by Chong’s Refrigeration.

(2) Saturday, Aug. 27, 1:00 a.m. to 2:15 a.m. – Beach Road, Garapan, by Bank Pacific.

(3) Saturday, Aug. 27, 10:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. – Monsignor Martinez Road, As Lito, by the Food Stamp Office.

(4) Sunday, Aug. 28, 12:30 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. – Monsignor Guerrero Road, Chalan Kiya, by the Waterloo.

(5) Friday, Sept. 2, 8:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. – Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Garapan, by Taro Sue Store.

(6) Friday, Sept. 2, 11:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. – Beach Road, Chalan Kanoa, by Super Fresh Store.

(7) Saturday, Sept. 3, 9:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. – Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Chalan Laulau, by IT&E.

(8) Sunday, Sept. 4, 12:00 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. – Beach Road, Susupe, by the Minachom Atdao Pavilion.

Each DUI/Sobriety Checkpoint will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes). This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s effort to Deter, Detect and Apprehend impaired drivers and to ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected. In addition, Traffic officers will be conducting Highway Criminal Interdictions, Aggressive Driver Interdictions, and Laser (Speed Detection) Enforcement activities.
