The fundraiser activity will be at 6 a.m. to 12 noon at the Ladera International School of Saipan in Finasisu.
Rose Smith, vice president of Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation, said yesterday that the organization has conducted several fundraising events in the past, but tomorrow will be the first time they will hold a garage/fundraiser sale.
“The beneficiaries of our programs here are mostly kids whom we provide basic needs for school,” Smith said.
The garage sale/fundraiser activity will include various vendors for food and drinks, new items for auction such as cell phones, décor vases, and others, and used items available at very low prices.
“All the proceeds from the event will benefit the people in the CNMI as part of LISS and Empty Vessel’s humanitarian project,” she said.
“Please come and join us in our efforts to put an end to poverty,” Smith added.
In August last year, the Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation provided school supplies to public school children as well clothing and food items. The funds came in through the generosity of businesses and people in the community.
Empty Vessel president Wayne Pangelinan said the fundraising activity is a joint effort of LISS, BISON Relations and Empty Vessel to support humanitarian needs.
“Your generosity and contribution to our event will be greatly appreciated,” Pangelinan said.
The various community projects of the Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation include sponsor-a-child where donors can give $30 a month to provide much-needed school supplies, church building projects, supporting war widows, and other projects.
