The students were allowed to express themselves through art by painting, carving, and other artistic expressions through their chosen medium as well as in the performing arts.
Some students played different instruments such as the violin, the piano or the ukulele, in solo and group performances.
Choral members from the different grade levels likewise participated. Speeches and plays were presented and most of the themes were humorous.
Each class for each grade level had an entry in the music, art and speech categories. All classes were part of teams that competed in different categories.
The students were divided into three teams: Royal Archangels, which comprise the students from kindergarten 4, third, seventh eighth and 11th grades; the Maroon Pirates — kindergarten 5, fourth, sixth, and ninth grades; and the Black Jaguars — first, second, fifth, 10th and 12th grades.
The culminating activity will be held today, Feb. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the school’s Agape auditorium where the winning team will be named.
The event is a yearly activity that aims to motivate the students to polish their craft.
“It disciplines and motivates them and pushes them to do their best. The whole purpose is to teach the kids how to properly use their talents for the glory God,” said Mark Vines, the event coordinator.
