Eucon holds 5th commencement exercises

Endian “Luke” Wang and Yuqin “Grace” Guo graduated with a bachelor of science in education degree, while Bing “Kimball” Zhang received a bachelor of arts in Bible degree.

In his brief message, Wang, who served as the student body president this year, said “every ending point in life is always another starting point; God has given each person a certain amount of time to manage; manage it well!”

Wang will serve as the school’s newest addition to its faculty and staff.

Guo said “whatever I have accomplished today is the gracious work of God. Thank God for giving me endurance!” Guo and her husband will go to the Philippines as missionaries.

Zhang, who holds a bachelor of arts in Bible degree, said  she is not worried about her future, because “my God is in control, and He will be with me wherever I go.”

Dr. John Joyner, CNMI Senior policy adviser who attended the graduation ceremony to represent Gov. Benigno R. Fitial and Lt. Gov. Eloy S. Inos, encouraged the students to “find a way to directly share the learning they have received from Eucon and from their experience in the CNMI with persons in their home area.”

“As Eucon graduates and ambassadors, we even challenge you to live the story of what you’ve learned here, so that within a short while Eucon will be blessed with more examples of the transformative influence of our programs,” Joyner said.

In his message, Saipan Mayor Donald Flores urged the graduates to do their best and to continue to train even harder.

“Just because a championship match is over, it doesn’t mean an athlete should stop there and wait to train for the next championship to be around the corner,” said Flores.

The mayor also encouraged the students to achieve the goal of the college which is “to train its students and cultivate good Christian character.”

Eucon said it has been actively recruiting international students to help boost the CNMI economy.

Accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, Eucon offers bachelor degrees in education, Bible and a certificate in English as Second Language.
