Falun Dafa leaders get death threat

Chen said they immediately reported the incident to a friend who filed a complaint with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Chinese man, according to Chen, is a former client of their family.

But Chen believed the threat has nothing to do with their previous business relationship.

“We suspect that that guy has a background about the Falun Gong in China,” she added

Falun Gong/Falun Dafa members in China are persecuted by their government.

Chen said the FBI is now coordinating with the local police authorities to track the suspect.

Falun Dafa members on Saipan are taking the threat seriously, she added.

But despite the threat, she said their group will continue their activities on Saipan.

The Falun Dafa members perform their meditation exercises  every Thursday at the night market in Garapan.

Chen said DPL has yet to approve their application  to use a portion of public land on Banzai Cliff and allow their

group to display banners, streamers and distribute brochures in the area.
