Firefighter II Dan Suel yesterday said they completed the investigation months ago but “we had to see to it that all the results and the evidence were in our office before coming up with the conclusion of the investigation.”
Suel said the fire started at the northern part of the factory.
There were faulty wires that snapped and a lot of combustible materials inside the building like clothes and fabric.
Suel added that no one will be held responsible for the fire.
“Fires that are caused by faulty electrical wiring are accidental,” he said.
The fire at the factory started at 4:52 a.m. on July 9 and was brought under control at 3:30 p.m. on the same day.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported but over 200 workers became homeless.
The fire caused the factory building to collapse.
