Tom Simon, an FBI special agent from Hawaii, said trainers from their laboratory in Virginia will conduct a post-blast investigation training on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The goal is to train local law enforcers in recovering and maintaining the integrity of evidence after a bombing incident, and analyzing evidence.
Simon said the first responders in blasts are always the local authorities, and the training next week will help ensure that they are equipped with state-of-the art investigation technology.
