Permanent Secretary for Information, Lt Colonel Neumi Leweni confirmed that a letter of dismissal was issued by the Presidents Office to Khan.
The letter was issued to Khan on Wednesday (15 July). Reasons for his removal from office have not been made public.
Khan was appointed Chief Magistrate after the abrogation of the 1997 constitution by President Iloilo on 10 April.
