Despite widespread increases to healthcare premiums throughout the national insurance market due to the global Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios have successfully obtained agreement that the health insurance employee premium rates will be lower than the national average.
According to Secretary of Finance David DLG Atalig, “Now, more than ever, affordable and accessible healthcare coverage is a necessity for our government employees and plays a crucial role in providing resources for our islands’ healthcare system, and safeguards families from the cost of unforeseen medical needs.”
Secretary Atalig encourages government employees to take advantage of this enrollment period to ensure each employee and their families have the necessary resources to cover their healthcare expenses.
