Fleming: Gov’t travel requests must be submitted in advance

In a memorandum, Fleming also told all department and activity heads that Finance Secretary Eloy Inos must clear travel requests before they are transmitted to the governor.

“The office of the governor will no longer accept travel authorizations less than 48 hours prior to the travel date. This will allow the governor ample time to sign all documents presented before him,” she said.

A travel ban among government employees is still in effect.

However, they will be allowed to travel if the federal government pays for it.
