Foremost donates milk to manamko’, CHC, Karidat

Foremost Foods Saipan, represented by Glen D. Hunter, group business manager; Rusty M. Loyola, operations manager; and Gerry Hemley, sales supervisor, allocated 300 cases of milk for the three agencies.

According to Hunter and Loyola, celebrating its 60th year in the business, Foremost decided to donate milk to the three agencies. “It’s our way of thanking the community for supporting Foremost all these years.”

A total of 150 cases of Foremost UHT milk were delivered at the Manamko’ Center on June 9 and were received by Rosa Mondala, director, Office on Aging, as well as more than 50 congregates.

Speaking before the congregrates, Hemley said, “We value the manamko’s contributions to the community and we’re glad to share this donation with you.”

Mondala explained the donation and reiterated the requirement for the aged at the center to consume milk.  With bones getting brittle as people age, Mondala said seniors are encouraged to drink milk.

She also thanked Foremost Foods Saipan for its donation. “It is generous of Foremost to do this for our manamko’. I hope the other companies will follow Foremost’s lead.”

Teresita R. Sorosa, Tteasurer of the Manamko’ Council, agreed. “We were all excited when Director Mondala announced the Foremost donation and everyone would receive a case of milk. We’re glad Foremost is concerned about our health. Thank you, Foremost.”

The Commonwealth Health Center also received 100 cases of Foremost UHT milk.

In the CHC cafeteria, Joe Tudela, food supervisor II for the dietary unit, and Ramon T. Chong, facilities administrator, welcomed the donation of 100 cases of milk from Foremost.

“We would like to thank Foremost for this donation. We hope there’ll be more donations in the near future,” said Chong.

Tudela also expressed his gratitude to Foremost on behalf of the patients who are recipients of the donation.

At Karidat, its director Angie V. Deleon Guerrero said, “We appreciate this donation from Foremost and these boxes go out to people.”
