Islas Marianas Inc. and David Oh, both named in the original complaint, were joined by Park Bok Sun, Seung Hyun Son, In Koo, CYP Corp., Myoungjin Park, San Hyun Son, and Kwang Hun Oh as defendants.
Zhen Yu Quan and Lorelei Vinas filed their first verified complaint through attorney Bruce Berline on Dec. 17, 2010.
Failure to pay overtime wages and breach of contract were the earlier causes of action alleged by the plaintiffs last month.
The additional causes of action were successor liability under the Fair Labor Standards Act, fraudulent transfer of assets, and unlawful retaliation against Quan.
Quan was hired as a cashier on Feb. 22, 2007 and was terminated on Dec. 4, 2010, the complaint said.
Vinas was hired as a cashier from Dec. 7, 2007 until Oct. 12, 2010.
Variety tried but failed to get a comment from the defendants.
CYP Corp. was organized and formed in or about last month, the complaint said.
Islas Marianas owns/operates Ace I Poker, Ace II Poker, Ace III Poker, and Piano Poker on Saipan.
CYP Corp. owns/operates various poker parlors and/or Laundromats also on Saipan, the complaint said.
David Oh, also known as Kwang Hun Oh, is manager and director of Islas Marianas, and director and officer of CYP Corp., the complaint said.
Park Bok Sun works for Islas Marianas and CYP Corp. in a managerial capacity and is an authorized signatory of bank accounts of the two corporations.
Seung Hyun Son and In Koo are officers and directors of Islas Marianas.
Sang Hun Son and Myoung Jin Park are officers, directors, and shareholders of CYP Corp.
The defendants fired Quan on Dec. 4, 2010 after she sued Islas Marianas and David Oh in federal court.
As for Quan’s fifth cause of action, Berline said his client is asking for payment of wages lost as a result of retaliation, additional equal amount as liquidated damages, damages according to proof, punitive damages, pre-judgment interest, costs of suit, attorney’s fees, and other relief.
