Former TT Justice Gianotti passes away

According to an obituary posted on the website of the West Hawaii Bar Association, Gianotti was  appointed as magistrate of the TT high court by the Carter administration in 1977 and lived in Chuuk and Saipan for eight years.

Retired CNMI Judge David Wiseman said Gianotti was an active member of the judiciary in the NMI and Micronesia. “He and I used to get together here in Kona, Hawaii until his family moved him to the mainland about two years ago.”

Born in Price, Utah, Gianotti was 17 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II in the Pacific

“Ernie is survived by three beautiful daughters and their families,” the West Hawaii Bar Association obituary stated.
