Police Commissioner Esala Teleni has confirmed that the four men were taken from their homes and are being questioned by criminal investigations department officers in Suva.
Teleni told Fijilive the investigation has been ongoing since the 2000 coup.
“We are trying to find leads at the moment and we will investigate them first,” he said.
More are expected to be arrested as the investigation progresses, he added.
It is understood the men could be the missing link to the weapons taken from the armory at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks during the political upheaval.
The four are expected to be questioned further by criminal investigations department officers in Suva.
