Garapan school marks Halloween with ‘Treat Walk’

Derwin Johnson, the school’s program coordinator for the Halloween and health wellness activities, said close to 900 students, parents and teachers joined the annual “Treat Walk.”

He said DFS continues to show  generosity by providing students with treats during their visit.

“We are tremendously grateful,” he added.

The Treat Walk started at 10:30 a.m.

Fourth grade teacher Willy Garon said the event rewarded the students for their hard work.

There was no Treat Walk last year, but the students still held Halloween activities on campus.

After their march on Friday, the students returned to their classrooms to participate in health and wellness activities.

Johnson said the health and wellness program allows students and teachers  to participate in sports and other recreational activities.

The school also awarded the winners in the Halloween door and the “super cute, super scary and super hero” contests.
