Goodbye roundhouse, hello cross-island road

As part of phase 1 of the project, traffic lights will replace the roundhouse.

The federally funded project, which costs over $20 million, will provide motorists with a wider road from the roundhouse intersection all the way to Langit Lane in Papago.

The back road will have four-lanes and  improved drainage systems similar to those now in place on Msgr. Guerrero Road.

Acting Public Works Secretary Joe Inos said in the next several months, the back road from the San Vicente intersection to the post office in Papago will be widened.

The project will cover the entire back road all the way to Sadog Tasi.

The designs for phase 2-A of the project, which will start from Papago to the Kagman intersection, and phase 2-B, which is from Kagman intersection to Capital Hill, are already done.

Phase 1  is close to two miles long; phase 2-A, 1.5 miles; phase 2-B, 1.75 miles; and phase 3, which will be from Capital Hill to Sadog Tasi, is 1.85 miles.
