Goodies for servicemembers to be packed tomorrow

Operation Homefront Support program coordinator Geri Willis said they are ready to put the various donated items in boxes so that the servicemembers will get them in time for Christmas through mail.

Willis said  they will be inserting letters in each box for the soldiers with holiday wishes from everyone.

She said countless individuals took part in this effort, but they would especially like to thank the following: the American Red Cross team with John Hirsh, Kennedy Benjamin, Le’ah Murphy for the first aid kits, logistics, labeling, and mailing of the care packages; Nola Hix and Docomo Pacific for the postage donation, advertisements, telephone, text and computer support; MCV, KSPN and Rick Sanchez for the banners, stickers and TV advertisements, Northern Marianas College President Sharon Hart, NMC community and the Student Center, ASNMC, Music Society, IT&E, U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan for the boxes of cookies; Public School System led by Kolin Reyes for the letters, cards, and drawings from elementary school students; Hafadai Productions Inc.  for the cases of Coconut Chips, Dr. Crystal Edminister and Staff of the SDA Dental Clinic for the donation of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss; Sorensen Media Group, Power 99, Tina Palacios for the radio coverage and CD’s; KZMI’s Bob Webb for the radio coverage; KKMP with Gary Sword for radio coverage; Betelnut Radio with David Atalig for the media support; Trench Tech for t-shirts and CD’s under Cuki Alvarez; Chamber of Commerce Armed Forces Committee Support under Judge David Wiseman and president Doug Brennan; Joeten Susupe for in-store ads and donations; Super Fresh Market for in-store advertisements; Herman’s Bakery for cookies; Saipan Southern High School for assorted canned goods; Marianas Variety, Beach Road Magazine, and Saipan Tribune for magazines, newspapers and media support; Dr. Jack Hardy for Saipan postcards; Mt. Carmel School for letters and canned goods donations; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Mariano Fajardo for phone cards.
