(Office of the Governor) – Governor David M. Apatang welcomed Angel Demapan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Insular and International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular and International Affairs (OIA), during a visit to the CNMI this week.
Deputy Assistant Secretary Demapan met with the Governor to receive updates on the Commonwealth’s ongoing fiscal reform implementation and the status of the CNMI’s 2023 Single Audit. The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between the CNMI and the Department of the Interior as both continue working toward strengthened financial management and long-term fiscal stability.
Governor Apatang expressed his appreciation for OIA’s continued support and collaboration, noting that transparent and timely progress on fiscal reform remains a top priority for the administration.
