Gov’t honors 10 outstanding employees

CITING their “great contributions,” the administration honored at least 10 employees from various government departments on Friday. Gov. Juan N. Babauta said these individuals served as “doors” to educate the general public about the variety of services provided and offered by the commonwealth government.

Babauta, Civil Service Executive Director Norbert Sablan and acting Personnel Management Director Juan I. Tenorio presented the awards to 10 employees of agencies under the Office of the Governor:

Joseph T. Guerrero, parole officer 1; Jocelyn Seman Kaipat, administrative specialist 1, Carolinian Affairs Office; John Delos Reyes, enforcement officer 1, Coastal Resources Management; Winnie Concepcion, secretary II, Criminal Justice Planning Agency; Kevin F. Castro, environmental specialist 1, Division of Environmental Quality; Antonio S. Cabrera, administrative specialist 1, Emergency Management Office; and Marla Ann N. Dela Cruz, administrative assistant, Office of the Special Assistant for Administration.

The Attorney General’s Office employee of the year is Bernardita B. Dela Cruz, secretary III. Antonio LG. Cabrera, administrative officer, Public Defender’s Office; and Juan L. Takai, community service coordinator, CNMI Election Commission were also given awards.

All these employees were recognized in commemoration of the Public Service Recognition Week. One of them will be chosen the employee of the year on Labor Day in September.
