Buildings B, F, and G of the school were found unsafe to use.
Fitial met with education officials yesterday to inform them about the funding for GTC.
Once the project is completed, there will be 17 to 18 students per room, creating an ideal educational environment where teachers can focus on the students.
The new rooms will also be used for after school activities and the Saturday reading classes.
Charlotte DLG. Camacho, acting principal of GTC, said earlier this year that $536,500 would fund building repairs and an additional $175,000 would be used for the purchase of desks, chairs as well as other collateral equipment needed by the school.
“I’m happy that it’s finally going to happen this year,” she said.
