SAIPAN’s Hard Rock Cafe, just like its several other branches around the world, has introduced a dozen new food items to suit the discriminating taste of diners.
James G. Cavalaris, Hard Rock Cafe Micronesia vice president for operations and development, said the introduction of new entrees is part of the restaurant’s goal “to offer a fresh variety” of choices every year.
“We want to keep up with the changing trend in the market. We want to introduce new food to people,” he said.
Based on market analysis, diners prefer “casual American dining,” which is normally a combination of different cuisine, Cavalaris said.
Hard Rock Cafe’s customers also go for seafood, vegetable and steaks.
“They really like our U.S. beef steak,” he said.
Aside from the regular entrees, more choices are made available for customers such as Mexican nachos, Chinese chicken salad and Italian pasta.
“Of course, you can still get the best burger in the islands, but you can also experience a slice of fine dining fare as well,” said Hard Rock regional executive chef Kotwal Singh, the force behind the culinary enhancements at the restaurant.
Among the new food items are the jumbo combo, an enormous sampler platter of the most popular selections from the appetizer section.
It includes handmade onion rings and tupelo chicken served with five different sauces.
“It’s good for four to six people. Hard Rock is known worldwide for its large serving and we will live up to that reputation,” Singh said.
New additions to Hard Rock’s menu include Cobb Salad, jerk chicken sandwich, shrimp fajitas, grilled pork chops, Pasta Onassis with Shrimp, Pasta Bolognaise, homestyle meatloaf and oven roasted chicken.
Hard Rock also offers its best steaks menus—the 20-ounce Texas T-bone, honey bourbon New York Strip and tenderloin beef.
“All our steaks are USDA (approved) and are served with giant baked potatoes and fresh vegetables,” Singh said.
