Hard Rock Café kicks off observance of Pinktober today

Hard Rock Café Saipan operations manager Rey Perez yesterday said their employees and staffers will form a team to join the Commonwealth Cancer Association and other stakeholders who continue to fight breast cancer in the CNMI.

On Oct. 14, Perez said  employees and staffers of Hard Rock Café will be attending a health forum that will be held at the restaurant as part of the breast cancer awareness program.

Friday nights at the Hard Rock Café will be special because it will be allocating 15 percent from all the sales of Pinktober drinks and cocktails especially prepared for the celebration and donate them to breast cancer awareness programs.

Perez said  the Pinktober Fest will culminate in a special program on Nov. 11 — not Oct. 11 as earlier reported — or  11.11.11.

He said Pinktober Fest will include an exclusive series of mini-show concerts launched to coincide with worldwide initiatives throughout the month of October to benefit breast cancer research.

“We are inviting performers who would like to become part of the show to contact us and share your talents for this special event,” Perez said.

For the past years, Hard Rock Café has been actively supporting the breast cancer awareness campaign by selling collectible Pinktober pins, key chains, t-shirts, and a series of live music events at Hard Rock establishments around the world and donating a portion of the proceeds from these special items to the campaign.

Perez said  Hard Rock Café Saipan started selling exclusive Pinktober items on Oct. 4.

Hard Rock Café International has 125 cafes and nine hotels/casinos in 48 countries that support the breast cancer awareness programs.

Founded in 1993, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. For more information, visit www.bcrfcure.org or call 1.866.FIND.A.CURE.
