Hollywood Theaters ticket price 50-cent higher on Fridays, Saturday

Saipan general manager William Santos.

Starting on May 23, the ticket price for Friday and Saturday general admission will be $7.50, but $7 from Sunday to Thursday.

The price of a ticket for a senior citizen will also be raised from $4 to $5.

Despite the high electricity rates, Santos said all their seven cinemas will be open.

“Although we will have some ‘small’ austerity measures in terms of saving for utilities,” he added.

Hollywood Theaters had 13 employees before it closed last month, and all will be hired back, Santos said.

Many of them reported for work yesterday in preparation for the reopening on Friday.

Santos said they will hire two more employees this summer.

The movie schedule approved by the management includes a $5 bargain matinees for all shows before 6 pm; $5 for all day admission of seniors and children; $5 for student admission with valid ID; and $5 for military personnel with valid ID.

Movies to be shown on Friday are “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” “Ironman,” “Speed Racer” and “The Forbidden Kingdom.”

The first 1,000 patrons on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will receive an Indiana Jones Top Trumps 6-card booster pack.
