Honoring a dedicated public servant and advocate of the CNMI

(Office of the Governor) — It is with deep respect that Governor Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang honor the life and legacy of George N. Camacho, a dedicated public servant and advocate for the people of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Camacho’s career in public service and community leadership has left a lasting impact on the CNMI.

Before his appointment as director of the Criminal Justice Planning Agency, Camacho served as a legislative assistant in the CNMI Legislature’s Legislative Bureau and spent seven years as a distinguished member of the CNMI House of Representatives. As CJPA director, he prioritized strengthening agency operations to ensure federal grants and programs effectively served the community.

Beyond his professional achievements, he was dedicated to youth development through his work with the Natibu Sports Association and as a coach in Saipan’s Little League program.

Camacho’s legacy of service, humility, and leadership will continue to inspire the people of the CNMI. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this time.
