Hopwood, DPS conduct drug-awareness outreach

The awareness doesn’t mean that the students will be drug-free for the rest of their lives but what is vital here is the choices that they make when they are out in the community.

The school’s job is simply to provide learning opportunities on the dos and don’ts and its up the students to decide what life would they want to have in the near future.

If they chose to ignore the bad stuff then we are certain that these group of students will eventually succeed in life and our community.

Those that will fall in the crack would be the ones that we need to continue to guide in hope that they will change their mentality and attitude so they too will choose the best pathways for a better self and not end up jail.

If they stay focus listen to their parents, teachers, school officials, good friends, then these students will make it out there and they will be productive within our community as good citizens.

The job of the schools is to provide students with as much tools to do the right thing and not to monitor what they do off campus.

It is truly everyone’s responsibility to ensure that our young minds are busy with extracurricular activities, family gatherings, educational activities and not to end up getting into any trouble.

The school is encouraging everyone to work with them so we can raise and shape good students in hopes that they will be our future leaders in the years to come.
