63,147 of 76,028 available room nights sold in February, compared to 61,450 of 77,000 available room nights sold over the same period last year. Room rates were up slightly from $93 last year to $93.63 in February 2010.
For calendar year 2010, occupancy is averaging 7 percent and room rates are averaging $103.58. This compares to 80 percent occupancy and $104.71 room rate over the same period last calendar year.
“Although Japan arrivals were down 13.5 percent, Korea and China markets were up due to Chinese New Year falling in February this year,” said HANMI vice chairman BK Park.
