B.K. Park, vice president of Asia Pacific Hotels Inc. ,handed the donation to Crime Stoppers coordinator PO2 Jason Tarkong during the final night of the Taste of the Marianas Food & Beer Garden Festival at American Memorial Park on Saturday evening.
“We are happy to turn over the amount to help the operations of the Crime Stoppers in the NMI,” Park said.
Tarkong said the donation will be very useful for the Crime Stoppers.
“We are very thankful for this donation because it can go a long way to help curb crimes on our islands,” Tarkong said.
The NMI Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for each tip that leads to an arrest.
Tarkong said donations will help fund the rewards they give out for tips.
