THE House Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation & Communication is considering conducting an oversight hearing on the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.

In a meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, the committee chairman, Rep. Vincent S. Aldan, opened the discussion on the proposed oversight of CUC.

Also present in the meeting were House Floor Leader Edwin Propst, Reps. John Paul Sablan, Blas Jonathan Attao, Diego Vincent Camacho and Marissa Flores.

Flores called for a recess to clarify with the chairman and other members the proposed action pertaining to CUC.

After the recess, Flores offered a motion to work with the Legislative Bureau’s staff members in obtaining documents related to CUC’s finances, management and operations.

She also moved to have CUC’s relevant staff and other individuals appear before the committee whether via subpoena or otherwise, and to testify under oath in providing information.

All the members present voted yes to the motion.
