Saipan Adventure LLC operator Mim Ki “Mickey” Kim thanks House members for adopting a resolution that recognized his “outstanding volunteerism and relentless dedication to the CNMI.”
THE House of Representatives has adopted a resolution commending Saipan Adventure LLC operator Mim Ki “Mickey” Kim for his “outstanding volunteerism and relentless dedication to the CNMI.”
Introduced by Rep. John P. Sablan, House Resolution 23-21 recognizes Kim’s “selfless service…and dedicating oneself to preserving and maintaining many of the most exquisite and frequently visited areas within the community.”
“Despite his non-local heritage, Mickey has fully embraced the local cultures, languages, customs, and traditions of the CNMI by immersing himself into the community,” stated the resolution, which was presented by Sablan and the other House members to Kim on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024.
According to the resolution, in 2014, Kim established Saipan Adventure LLC, “which provides a wide array of unparalleled professionally guided tourism experiences such as Grotto snorkeling, Forbidden Island hiking and snorkeling, and many other amazing adventures.”
Kim and his Saipan Adventure team “have coordinated and planned several beach cleanup events, demonstrating their dedication to community volunteer initiatives aimed at preserving the natural beauty of Saipan, and throughout the years…have not only helped preserve the natural beauty and safety of Saipan, but have also selflessly contributed and utilized their own resources to maintain and renovate public facilities on and around the Grotto and Forbidden Island,” the resolution stated.
“The remarkable actions that Mickey has displayed throughout the years epitomizes and symbolizes the meaning of community devotion and sets the exemplary standard that all businesses within the Commonwealth should strive to achieve,” the resolution added.
Kim, who was born in Korea, moved to Saipan with his family in the 1990s.
