He issued another memorandum recently, informing House members that he’s extending his personal leave through mid-July.
The House and the Senate have convened a conference committee to discuss budget issues for fiscal year 2010, which ends on Sept. 30.
A constitutional amendment ratified in last year’s general elections mandate the Legislature to pass a budget before the new fiscal year starts or the now cash-strapped CNMI government will shut down.
Fiscal year 2011 starts on Oct. 1, 2010.
