The fundraiser will be held in the Magellan Room at the Pacific Islands Club on Friday, Aug. 12, from 6 to 11 p.m.
The event will feature special remarks by Fr. Eric Forbes, live island music, and an auction of unique art objects produced by local artists.
Tickets, priced at $50 per person, include a scrumptious cocktail menu, all you can drink PIC beer and wine, and a chance to win thousands of dollars in raffle prizes.
The council hopes to raise $20,000 and all proceeds will be used to support public humanities programs and community grants.
