Hyatt’s Aquino places 2nd in bartender competition

It was his second time to join the annual competition.

In addition, Aquino also won the Best in Taste Award for his alluring and charming Marianas Trench flavored cocktail.  This charismatic and magnetic concoction is a mixture of selected tropical juices blended with a delightful mix of Burnett’s Vodka.

Aquino was joined by another Hyatt staff member, Darwin B. Capati, who participated in the competition for the first time.

Although Capati did not capture any awards, he was able to put on quite an impressive showmanship for a first timer.

Aquino and Capati have been  part of the Hyatt family for several years now.

Aquino, who works for Kili Café & Terrace, is now in his fourth year, while Capati is in his 10th year of service and is currently stationed at the Skippers Beach Bar.

They were and are still given ample opportunities to develop their skills in the work place, which allowed them to showcase their talents and represent their company well, making their Hyatt family very proud and appreciative of their excellent efforts.

The annual bartender cocktail competition was held on Saturday, May 22, at  American Memorial Park during the Taste of the Marianas.  It was sponsored by Burnett’s Vodka and hosted by the Northern Marianas Bartenders Association.

Roland Fernandez of Palms Resort Saipan finished first in the competition.
