The event, Demapan said, drew over 110 travel agents and media representatives.
“We expect that the healthy publicity from the event will be very much helpful in enticing more Japanese travelers to consider visiting our pristine islands,” he added.
Led by Inos, the CNMI delegation also attended the annual Japan Association of Travel Agents Travel Showcase and the mid-year Japan-Marianas Tourism Council meeting in Tokyo.
“CNMI officials met with our travel industry partners in an effort to further listen and address their concerns so that we can all work collaboratively to revive our tourism industry,” Demapan said.
Two weeks ago, Gov. Benigno R. Fitial went to Shanghai, China to attend the launching ceremony of two additional charter flights of Sichuan Airlines to Saipan. The flights will begin in November.
