International ballet stars to perform on Saipan

Each performance includes both professional international stars and the talents of over 45 aspiring young stars from the local community, all masterfully choreographed together on stage, in excerpts from world-famous ballets.

These annual productions provide island residents an opportunity to experience ballet.

On Dec. 9 and 10,  Anna Glushko will arrange a spectacular holiday performance of “Swan Lake,” one of the world’s most popular and beautiful ballet classics, featuring the musical compositions of Tchaikovsky.

Performances start at 7 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 10, Friday and Saturday, at American Memorial Park Saipan.

Stars from Korea and Russia will again perform on island.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for those under 12 years old. They can be purchased at all Shell gas stations on Saipan, Gourmet Chinese,  Shenanigans, 360 Restaurant, Manic Inn and Kevin’s Department Store.

Production costs alone to stage this wonderful event are more than what the ballet academy earns for a full year from tuition, but thanks to its generous sponsors and donors, what would only be a dream has again become a reality.

Some of the sponsors and donors include Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort, Shell Marianas, Tan Holdings Foundation, Sasha Co. Ltd, First Hawaiian Bank, Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, Bank of Saipan, Pacific Saipan Distribution, Burger & Comer CPAs, DFS Galleria Saipan, Coconut Computer Services, Saipan Aquaculture Inc., attorney Joshua Berger, Triple J, Gourmet Restaurant, O’Connor & Dotts, Marianas Business Plaza, Dental Care, Bruce Mailman & Maya Kara, attorney Douglas Cushnie, attorney Stephen Nutting, Hyatt Saipan, Manic Inn, Delta Airlines and Asiana Airline.
