IT&E announces restoration of landline services in CNMI

ON Thursday, Aug. 7 at 12:45 noon, IT&E encountered a service-related issue that intermittently affected our landline customers, and those calling our customers, in the CNMI. Specifically, customers were having difficulty making and receiving calls from landline phones. As of 5:30 p.m., the issue was resolved, and landline services have been fully restored. Internet and mobile services were not affected and continue to operate normally.

As part of the network restoration, the IT&E team has put additional technologies in place to mitigate the problem going forward.

“From the time that our 24/7 Network Operations Center identified the alarm, our team acted immediately to find a solution.” said Velma M. Palacios, senior director of IT&E-CNMI. “We want to reassure our customers that IT&E has taken the necessary steps to not only resolve this issue but also to strengthen our network, ensuring reliable services to our customers.”

IT&E thanks the public for their patience and understanding during this time. We remain dedicated to providing dependable connectivity and prompt communication updates whenever necessary.

“At IT&E, keeping our customers connected to who and what matters the most, when it matters the most is our top priority,” said David Gibson, CEO of IT&E. “We thank our customers for their continued trust and patience as our teams work diligently to remain the premier telecommunications provider in the Marianas.”
