The additional IT&E’s CDMA Cell Site is centrally located on Rota on the campus of Northern Marianas College. Now IT&E customers will enjoy voice and data coverage while travelling between the villages of Songsong and Sinapalo for the first time, as well as service at the Rota Resort Golf Course and the Rota Hotel.
“We’re glad that we were able to bring our local customers service that will better meet their needs on Rota,” said IT&E plant technical service manager Velma Palacios. “Now we’re able to focus on other ways in which we can better serve our customers throughout the Marianas.”
IT&E worked in partnership with the mayor’s office and Rota NMC for the site, and partnership provided the local college improved air-conditioning at the Rota NMC Library in addition to the increased coverage area.
