Jaron McPhetres Santos
SAIPAN-BORN Jaron McPhetres Santos was recently promoted to the rank of senior airman in the United States Air Force.
Santos is stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona. He is an aerospace ground equipment specialist, and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of military equipment that supplies electricity, hydraulic pressure, and air pressure to aircraft.
Santos also inspects and approves proper maintenance actions, establishes production controls and standards, and determines equipment serviceability criteria.
The grandson of the late NMI historian and educator Samuel F. McPhetres and former Northern Marianas College President Agnes M. McPhetres, Santos has been with the U.S. Air Force for over two years now.
