Tantiado did not explain why the job fair has to be rescheduled.
She said Guam Contractors Association executive director James Martinez told her that more Guam-based employers have expressed interest in the job fair.
According to Tantiado, her group, United Workers Movement, NMI, has also been receiving inquiries from nonresident workers.
There are groups from Rota and Tinian that want to know if the Guam employers can also visit their islands.
Tantiado said interested applicants from Rota and Tinian may send their resumes and other pertinent documents for job placement to Saipan.
“They can collect all their applications and ask someone to bring and submit them here,” she added.
American Memorial Park is the venue for the job fair which will start at 1 p.m. and end at 5 p.m.
Tantiado said the Guam contractors have many ongoing construction contracts that need additional manpower in preparation for the military build-up on the island.
They prefer to hire workers from Saipan instead of going to the Philippines, she said.
The Guam employers are hiring construction workers.
“This is a great opportunity for nonresident workers and even CNMI residents seeking employment on Guam,” Tantiado said.
