In the 2018 elections, CNMI voters retained Judge Kim-Tenorio who was first sworn in as associate judge on Dec. 22, 2013. Her first term expired on Dec. 21, 2019.
Currently, the judge presides over the CNMI Drug Court.
Before being nominated to the judiciary, she served as legal counsel to former Gov. Eloy S. Inos. She is also a former legal counsel to the lt. governor and the CNMI Legislature.
In 2016, she was appointed by U.S. Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Sidney R. Thomas to serve as a designated judge of the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.
