KagHS holds technology expo

“The main purpose of the seminar is to educate the students on the various types of technology private companies and government agencies use in their everyday operation. It is also to give them an idea on how much technology has influenced and revolutionized the workforce industry,” Ladrigan told Variety in an interview.

The expo included presentations from Marianas Cable Vision, the Division of Environmental Quality and IT&E. Each gave the students some insight on what technology they are using to help their business thrive.

MCV and DEQ said they are equipped with the latest satellite and GPS navigation technology while IT&E discussed the Code Division Multiple Access and the Global System for Mobile Communication networks.

In addition to its presentation, IT&E gave out free T-shirts and umbrellas.

Students who attended the expo told Variety that they wish to see more presentations  throughout the year.

“It is very informative and exciting to see the technology they use because we don’t see stuff like this every day,” said 10th grader Tasha Dela Cruz.
