The society recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved academic excellence.
“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment that Allyssa has demonstrated to achieve this level of academic excellence,” said NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prize.
“Allyssa is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best for the future,” he added.
Arangorin is the daughter of Norbe and Manolo Arangorin.
“I feel honored to be part of such a prestigious organization. To be with a group of intelligent student all over the world is amazing. This challenges me to do my best every day and will inspire other students to strive hard,” the student said in an interview.
“I am encouraging other students to become a part of this. My message: Do not let others tell you what you can or can’t do. Always challenge yourself because there are many opportunities out there,” she added.
Membership in NSHSS entitles students to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, free events, member-only resources, publications, participation in programs offered by educational partners, online forums, personalized recognition items, and publicity honors.
Formed in 2002, the National Society of High School Scholars recognizes academic excellence at the high school level and encourages members of the organization to apply their unique talents, visions and potentials for the betterment of themselves and the world.
Currently, there are more than 530,000 society members in over 160 countries. NSHSS provides scholarship opportunities for deserving young people.
