On July 25, the association in collaboration with Reps. Rosemond B. Santos and Edward T. Salas, and the Taga Riders Motorcycle Association, started restoring abandoned pavilions in Kagman II.
The restoration project was a huge success, beginning at 8 a.m. and completed at 5 p.m., according to Retta Sue Hamilton, staff of Santos and Kagman Komunidat Association officer.
Hamilton said they were also supported by Edward Camacho of the Financial & Insurance Services Group., Inc., Sam Babauta from the Department of Public Works and Ray Chong from Commonwealth Health Center.
The project, she said, is one of the many projects of Precinct 5 Community and “we continue to identify more structures for restoration.”
The group is eyeing the beautification of bus shelters as their next project before school-year 2009-2010 starts.
The group is calling on the community to take an active role in the project by helping the government facilities, like the pavilion and bus shelters, preserve and spare from any graffiti and vandalism.
