The17 students played handbells and later gave the senior citizens Christmas ornaments made by the children themselves.
Richard Mesiwemai, a KagHS teacher, said their visit at the Aging Center is part of an annual activity involving different groups of students each year.
Joe Torres, Senior Citizens Advisory Council vice chairman, said they really appreciated the visit of the students.
“We are very happy and we love these children,” he said.
Aging Office Director Rose DLG. Mondala said the manamko’ were very grateful for the presence of the children.
“These children also appreciate very much the manamko’,” she said.
Yesterday, D&Q Saipan Ltd. gave the senior citizens assorted grocery items.
Mondala said they already sorted out the various grocery items and prepared them for distribution.
“We are very grateful to D&Q,” she added.
On Friday, the Matua Riders donated $500 to the manamko’, Saipan Senior Citizens Advisory Council chairwoman Teresita Sorroza said.
The Matua Riders also gave the manamko’ stuffed animals and raffled off prizes, including gift certificates for lunch, dinner, massage and spa treatments.
Also on Friday, the Department of Public Health’s Kung Flu fighter campaign mascot visited the Aging Center.
