Francisco Yoon, the parish pastoral secretary, said they will also dedicate the church to the Korean saint, Jung Ha Sang Paul (1795-1839).
“We are inviting all the members of the church and the community to join us in celebrating our anniversary,” Yoon said. “It would be an honor for you to attend and share this blessing with us.”
He said Monsignor Tomas A. Camacho, bishop of the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, will celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m.
The Korean Catholic Church of Saipan is located in Chalan Kanoa, just behind Mt. Carmel School, and is headed by Fr. Man Soo Kye.
Yoon said they are expecting their membership to grow as more families now go to church every Sunday.
At present, the church has 150 family members, he added.
